BUSNA Announces Speakers for Birdshot Day 2024
Birdshot Uveitis Society of North America is thrilled to announce its slate of speakers and presenters for Birdshot Day 2024!
Several leading uveitis specialists, physicians and other medical professionals are coming to Philadelphia, PA on April 6, 2024 for Birdshot Day 2024. Their inspiring and informative presentations will be tailored specifically to people with birdshot uveitis. Birdies from across North America are invited to join us for a weekend they will not soon forget!

Michael J. Baime, MD, Director of the Penn Program for Mindfulness at the University of Pennsylvania Health System
James P. Dunn, MD, Director of the Uveitis Unit in the Retina Division at Wills Eye Hospital and Professor of Ophthalmology at Sidney Kimmel Medical College, Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia.
Annie Folkard, is the Co-Founder, Director and Trustee of Birdshot Uveitis Society since 2009 to the present.
Sharon Graham, is the Regional Administrator and Staff Director of The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.
Ranjoo Prasad, OD, an optometrist practicing Low Vision Rehabilitation for over 24 years. She is currently providing low vision care at the Wills Eye Hospital is also staff optometrist at the Michael J. Crescenz VA Medical Center.
Jennifer Thorne, M.D., Ph.D., the Cross Family Professor of Ophthalmology at the Wilmer Eye Institute, where she is also chief of the Division of Ocular Immunology and Uveitis. Prof. Thorne holds a joint appointment as professor of epidemiology at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health.
Vanessa Zinke, a licensed clinical social worker based in New York City. She is a co-founder and psychotherapist at Reaching Resilience Therapy.
