Rare Disease Day is a day to acknowledge diseases like Birdshot Uveitis. Birdshot Uveitis is an “orphan disease” that affects a small percentage of the population. In some part of the world, the term orphan disease describes a rare disease whose rarity results in little or no funding or no funding for research for treatments.
