BUSNA adds YouTube video channel
Birdshot Uveitis Society of North America has created its own channel on youTube. Click here to check it out!
Andrea Munk, BUSNA’s Assistant Treasurer and manager of social media, set up the new channel so that birdies and other interested people can view presentations from our April 6 Birdshot Day 2024. This link also contains details about the content of each lecture.
The current offerings include presentations by:
Dr. James P. Dunn, Director of the Uveitis Unit in the Retinal Division at Wills Eye Hospital
Dr. Michael Baime of the University of Pennsylvania
Vanessa Zinke, LCSW and founder of Reaching Resilience Therapy in New York City
Dr. Ranjoo Prasad, an optometrist specializing in Low Vision Rehabilitation at Wills Eye Hospital
Sharon Graham from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services
Annie Folkard, Co-founder & Director of Birdshot Uveitis Society (UK)
BUSNA hopes to release an edited version of the presentation by Dr. Jennifer Thorne, the Cross Family Professor of Ophthalmology at the Wilmer Eye Institute of Johns Hopkins Hospital, at some point in the future.
Wills Eye Hospital not only hosted Birdshot Day 2024 in their impressive facility in center city Philadelphia; their Director of Media Technology Services, Jack Scully, generously donated his services and recorded the entire day’s presentations.
It is hoped that anyone viewing these lectures, whether birdies, their friends and family, or medical professionals, will gain insight into this rare autoimmune disease.
In the years to come, BUSNA hopes to feature additional birdshot clinicians and researchers on this media platform.
